Are you looking to simplify things and clean up your cockpit a bit? Perhaps you broke the fragile plastic barrel nut on your Kawasaki KLR650?

Whether you need to fix your choke control or wish to simplify it, this choke cable eliminator kit replaces your handlebar control cable with a simple knob mounted directly to the carburetor.

The middle nut is a compression nut to adjust the retention force of the spring-actuated plunger. Tighten a bit until it holds the choke in the pulled position.

Check the video link in the Learn More section.

The direct choke control will allow you to remove the stock choke ring and cable, freeing up some space around the handlebars.

Screw in the cable-actuated plunger and remove the whole cable assembly and lever from the bar.

Note: Please compare the dimensions of your stock plunger from the old choke cable system with the new one included in this assembly. In some model years, you might need to re-use it. Replace it on your new direct control assembly.
