Typical recommendations:
Rider riding weight from 160 to 250Lbs = 0.64 kg/mm spring rate
Rider riding weight over 250Lbs = 0.70 kg/mm spring rate
 
By getting springs with a .64 kg/mm rate, the fork will be 60% stiffer than the stock and work very well for most riders under 250lbs (without gear).
The .70 kg/mm are 75% stiffer and only recommended if you are a heavier rider and/or riding often with luggage/passenger.
 
Riders near the transition area of spring selections weight-wise should choose the rate under or above the listed recommendation dependent on their riding habits and preferences.
As an example; a very aggressive rider who prefers a firmer feel and greater bottoming resistance should choose the firmer rate just above the recommended rate.
 
These springs work perfectly with the Cogent DDC valves and for a complete fork upgrade kit, don't forget to add a set of Fork Caps with Adjustable Preload!
