The Suzuki DR-Z4S is finally here, and while Suzuki gave it a decent baseline, the "sump guard" it comes with from the factory is really just a placeholder for the real thing. AX1807 vs. AX1821: Which One Do You Need?
AXP offers two skid plate models for the 2025–2026 Suzuki DR-Z4S / DR-Z4SM depending on how aggressively you ride:
AX1807 ("Hard Enduro" Model): Built from 8mm HDPE and features the integrated rear linkage guard plus maximum wrap-around protection (1.3 kg). Best for hard enduro, rocky singletrack, log hops, and riders who push the DR-Z4S into demanding terrain.
AX1821 ("Standard / Light ADV" Model): Built from 6mm HDPE and omits the extended linkage guard for a sleeker profile (0.9 kg). Ideal for light dual-sport, forest roads, BDR touring, and street/supermoto use where saving weight and keeping maintenance quick is the primary goal.
