The stock engine cases of the Suzuki DR-Z400 are lightweight thanks to being a magnesium alloy but both thin and brittle.
 
As a result, they are vulnerable to damage (cracks or punctures from impact) from the bike's shift/brake levers and directly from rocks.
 
By installing this set of case savers, save yourself the cost of replacing expensive engine cases and possibly getting stranded in a remote place.
 
Our kit includes the clutch, ignition side case cover, and a 3oz tube of clear RTV silicone adhesive for a clean installation. This RTV is the good stuff that can withstand heat, oil, and gas from an engine, not your bathroom caulking.
 
Note: If you have an early model DR-Z with the kickstarter, the clutch side does not fit.
