A known flaw in the Suzuki DR650 is the plastic fitting that secures the stock choke cable to the BST40 stock carburetor.
 
Over time, this plastic piece gets cooked and will eventually break. A broken fitting can cause hard-to-solve idling and running problems. This may be the solution if you want to retain your handlebar-mounted choke. You'll never have to worry about it again.
