If you are replacing yor tires, it's always a good idea to check on the state of your rim on the inside.
 
Start by removing the rim strip, giving the rim a good clean. If your rim strip seems to have seen better days, it's very inexpensive to replace and can save you from a puncture if it fails during a trip.
