Turkana's roll-top HippoHips™ is the only true hybrid adventure saddlebags able to be fitted as classic “over the seat“ or as quick fit/remove plate mounted motorcycle soft saddlebag luggage.
 
Turkana's roll-top HippoHips™ is a uniquely designed hybrid soft/hard-mount system.
 
It can be used as classic, universal type "strap over the seat“ or on our injection-moulded, Nylon6 glass-filled plate-mounted system. 
 
Note: Plates can be purchased separately if you wish to convert.
 
The HippoHips™ universal design will fit the majority of motorbikes and requires pannier frames for support. They can be fitted with manufacturer frames or after-market frames.

 
HippoHips™ is a 8-piece luggage set with removable waterproof and dustproof roll-top bags inside AND x4 additional bags attached on the outside:
- 2 x Turkana BushBaby™ 3L Utility Bags
- 2 x Turkana OxPacker™ 1.8L Bottle Bags
 
Each side makes use of a removable inner bag, which is water and dustproof resistant with an IP66 rating. It has a light colour on the inside to allow you to easily find contents when searching for your stuff inside the bag.
 
Water might still come between the liner and the outer bag, but it will not penetrate the inner liner. If the worst happens and the liner is damaged, it can be replaced without replacing the entire bag.
 
Leave the pannier bags on the bike and only take the inner bags to your tent or into a hotel. If fitted on the Hybrid plates, you can remove the entire HippoHip™ saddlebag pannier.
 
Unique Cross-over seat and compression support.
Our load-carrying cross-over straps disperse weight evenly and compress the bags to allow access into tight places when riding those bikes off-road. The crossover straps ensure the total width of your bike is kept to a minimum and keep the weight centred.
The cross-over straps further ensure the outside of the bag does not droop and remains at the height level when initially fitted, eliminating the tendency to sway into the motorcycle's rear wheel.
 
The HippoHip™ bags are made for any enduro or adventure bike up to the popular 1000cc+ travel machines, as it fit on most motorcycles and suit many different riding styles and preferences.
 
True versatility.
The wide, over-the-seat support strap connects with hooks&loops to secure the bags to the motorcycle, yet it allows for a pillion to ride comfortably. Depending on your bike, this strap may also be installed underneath the seat.
