These Flex4 signals are supplied with a 12" (300mm) harness adapter with universal bullet connectors. Depending on your bike, may need to choose the correct Turn Signal Harness Adapters (sold separately) compatible with your bike to get a proper plug-and-play solution or simply splice in your own connectors from the stock signals or install bullet female connectors on the bike side.
How to choose your turn signals: LED, 10W or 21W?
Replacing indicators on a bike equipped with stock incandescent bulbs is a common upgrade, but choosing the wrong wattage is the #1 cause of "hyperflash" (blinking too fast). To keep your signals flashing at the correct legal rate, use this guide to select the right version for your setup:
1. LED Version (High Efficiency)
LEDs draw very little power (usually 1W–2W), which doesn't provide enough resistance for a standard thermal relay to work properly.
Best for those who have already installed an Electronic LED Flasher Relay or have a bike genuinely equipped with LED signals.
LED signals are more energy efficient and put less strain on your electrical system.
2. 21W Version (Standard Halogen)
This is the "Plug & Play" choice for most classic Japanese dual-sports.
Best for bikes originally equipped with large, chunky factory indicators (e.g., DR650, KLR650, DR-Z400, XR650L).
The stock relay on these bikes is calibrated to "feel" a 21W load. Installing this version allows you to keep your stock relay exactly as is.
3. 10W Version (Compact Halogen)
Typically used for European bikes or smaller, sleeker aftermarket setups.
Best for many KTM (EXC/Adventure) and Husqvarna models, or bikes that have already been modified with a 10W-specific relay.
Pro Tip: When in doubt, check your current bulbs!
The wattage (10W or 21W) is almost always etched into the metal base of the bulb or moulded into the plastic of the signal lens. For most Japanese "thumpers," using a large signal (21W) is the gold standard, whereas older European bikes typically use a smaller signal (10W).
