Cables lead a hard life. They get pinched in triple clamps, chewed by vibration, or simply give up after a few thousand kilometres.
If your tablet power cable has met a tragic end, or is currently zip-tied into a shape it was never meant to hold, this is your solution.
This is the genuine threaded M9 rear charging cable, and it's the latest revision. The Norte's rear socket sits slightly thinner than the one on the T865/T880, and the plastic lip on earlier cables could make it a fight to seat properly.
That lip has been reworked, so this version drops cleanly into both. If you've wrestled an older cable onto a Norte, you'll notice the difference immediately.
The screw-in M9 plug fits: T865, T880, and any Norte with a threaded M9 rear connector.
Norte users, check before you order — which Norte do you have?
Look at the charging socket on the back of your unit:
- Threaded collar you screw the cable onto → Choose the screw-in M9 plug.
- Plain socket, cable pushes straight in → you have a newer Norte, choose the push-in M9 plug.
The rear connector was redesigned to a push-in type after screw-in connectors caused problems in the field. You need the push-in version instead.
